Position: Full-Time Structural Designer
Location: Alexandria, VA
Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes
Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions
Communicate and coordinate with architects and engineers of other disciplines
Review and evaluate existing building structural systems
Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Review construction submittals, participate in construction observation, and respond to contractor inquiries
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (B.S.CE, B.AE, B.S.AE), or equivalent, with coursework specialized towards structural engineering.
Master’s Degree a plus.
EIT strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, & current industry structural engineering design software; advanced computer skills a plus
Good organizational and team skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to be challenged and develop new skills
