Woods • Peacock Engineering Consultants is seeking a marketing and business development manager with expertise in the A/E/C industry, specifically the Federal arena. The position requires a team player with a take-charge approach to marketing and business development while working collaboratively with our staff.
The prospective candidate must have experience in:
Pursuing contracts with federal, state, and local governments.
The SF330 development for the selection of engineering services.
Responding to state and local RFPs and the selection processes for engineering services.
Team preparation for short-list interviews and presentations.
Researching and identifying contract opportunities.
Strengthening existing client relationships and expanding the client network.
Developing and maintaining a strong business network.
8+ years of relevant marketing and business development experience.
Marketing experience in the A/E/C industry or with the Federal government.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or other related degree.
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (CRM) database software.
The person in this position will be responsible for:
Providing clients with requested Woods • Peacock qualifications to be used in their proposals.
Developing detailed proposals for Woods • Peacock, adhering to the federal government SF330 qualification process, and incorporating other firms’ qualifications as sub-consultants.
Developing detailed prime proposals for project pursuits in state and local jurisdictions and incorporating other firms’ qualifications as sub-consultants.
Developing marketing and business development tools and/or strategies to incorporate in our marketing and business development plan and budget.
Planning strategies for their own involvement in industry engagements as well as the firm’s involvement in conferences, meetings, luncheons, and events.
Maintaining and compiling firm information in Deltek Vantagepoint (CRM) database software.
Understanding the current market sectors and exploring and developing new growth opportunities.
Candidate should possess the following:
Ability to communicate effectively with other engineering firms, architectural firms, and federal agencies.
Ability to develop relationships with other architectural and engineering firms to enhance Woods • Peacock’s presence in the A/E/C community.
A knowledge and ability to use graphic software such as InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
Capability to incorporate graphic design and creative thinking into proposal writing.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere (both virtually and in-office), with engineers, administrative personnel, and principals to develop marketing and proposal strategies.
Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
